It’s time to register for KindieComm 2016 – April 1-3!
In 2015, for the second year in a row, we surveyed KindieComm attendees to gather their thoughts and opinions and then spent time discussing ways we can tweak our creation to make it even better! After receiving a record number of submissions for the KindieComm 2016 Showcase (over 60!), we’ve selected our lineup, notified the artists and have announced the Showcase lineup. Breakout session themes are almost complete and will be posted later this month as well the announcement of our special guest for KindieComm 2016.
Folks who joined us at past KindieComm gatherings know what to expect: a day of socializing, networking and growth – capped with a night of great live music! Additionally, we will again offer a public family concert on Sunday and offer tickets to that as well.
In true Kids Corner fashion, KindieComm will stress an interactive atmosphere, starting with a free continental breakfast & free coffee/tea all day – plus cash bar all day. Breakout sessions will book-end the KindieComm Free Lunch at Noon. Following a comfortable dinner break, we’ll gather again for the nighttime KindieComm 2016 Showcase at World Cafe Live!
At KindieComm, we’ve designed our breakout sessions to be less of a formal panel and more of an interactive conversation moderated by two or three people. We believe this format increases the flow of ideas and creativity within each session.
For attendees arriving in Philadelphia the night before, we’re hosting a casual Happy Hour Friday afternoon (April 1, 4-7pm) to mix and mingle. The KindieComm 2016 registration table will be open as well – so you can check in and get your name badge. We’ll have a list of nearby spots where you can dine afterward.
We’ll be producing the 2016 Kids Corner MusicFest showcase for the general public on Sunday, April 3 (11am-1pm) at World Cafe Live featuring performances by Tim Kubart, Laura Doherty and one more surprise performer! Tickets to Sunday’s show are separate from your registration and you can reserve yours ($15 per) when you register for KindieComm 2016.
Returning by popular request will be the KindieComm Mailroom – a designated area where Kindie artists can drop off their latest CDs, media kits and more to Kindie media folk attending KindieComm . This area will be staffed all day long and equipped with extra pens/paper for personalized notes you might want to include with your items. The purpose of the Mailroom is to relieve the stress of hunting down every broadcaster and blogger in attendance. By utilizing this free service, everyone can relax and make the most of their KindieComm experience!
We’ll also have the KindieComm FREEBIE table – where you can place CDs, posters and other marketing info for attendees to pick up at their leisure. You’re welcome to ship these items to us in advance of the weekend, so it doesn’t eat into your travel space.
Early Bird Registration for KindieComm 2016 (until March 7) is just $75 – after that, registration for KindieComm 2016 is $90.
