KindieComm 2020

March 10, 2020
By now we are all aware of the global outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). While there is a high level of uncertainty as the disease spreads around our country and the world, it is absolutely clear that we have a responsibility to institute various new mitigation practices of social distancing to help stem that spread.

Today  the University of Pennsylvania – which includes WXPN – announced such actions, including prohibiting all future University-related travel, both domestic and international, at least until April 17. Additionally, PENN is curtailing large University events and strongly discouraging all University meetings/events that include participants from other cities and countries, even if fewer than 100 people.

With this news, it is with regret that we have to announce that there will be no KindieComm this year. Those who registered will be issued full refunds within the next few weeks.

As KindieComm is a biennial gathering, we have decided to reschedule this year’s gathering to next April (2021). Our hope is that those committed to participating this year will be able to join us next year – this includes those chosen to perform in the KindieComm Industry Showcase.  More about that shortly – for now, we wanted to get word out about our postponement as soon as we learned about the University’s plan, so that you can act accordingly.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Stay healthy and continue washing your hands!
