KindieComm Industry Showcase

KindieCommSTDOn Saturday, April 4, 2020 the KindieComm Industry Showcase will continue the tradition of being basically a party for people doing music for families, with dozens of musicians gathering together to play for each other and folks in the industry. Held within the beautiful World Cafe Live venue, which was built from the ground-up with the musician in mind – the showcase is a chance to celebrate the wild, wonderful world of Kindie!

To accommodate demand, this time around we’ll have fifteen slots available! We’ll offer eight Industry Showcase slots – each 15 minutes in length – and seven Solo Spotlight slots, a 5 minute window to perform one song (solo mic and DI input available).

Those selected for the Industry Showcase slots will be given complimentary registration to KindieComm 2020. We will once again provide a backline to make it easier for those musicians traveling to Philadelphia.

If you would like to be considered for the 2020 KindieComm Industry Showcase, simply complete this form below. Make sure the website has access to audio files that showcase your music. In the comments box you can let us know a little about you (and your band, if applicable).

Note: Due to time constraints, the more plug-n-play your Showcase set can be, the better your chances!

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS ENDS NOVEMBER 15, 2020

Our hope is to have the KindieComm Industry Showcase booked and artists announced by December 1, 2019 along with the overall itinerary for KindieComm 2020. This page will then transform into a listing of the performers (featuring web links etc), to give you a sample of what to expect Saturday night!

KindieComm 2020

ALERT!

KindieCommSTD

Beginning October 16 we will open the call for submissions to the KindieComm Industry Showcase – part of KindieComm 2020 (April 3-5 in Philly) – the submission link will be located in the banner on top of this site.

Due to demand, we’ve doubled the number of opportunities for participation in the Showcase … we’ll have 8 Showcase Spotlights – each 15 minutes … PLUS 7 Solo Song slots where an artist will have up to 5 minutes to perform one song … there’ll be a mic and a DI box to work with on the Solo Song stage. You’ll be able to click off which (or both) option best suits your performance when you submit your info.

Additionally the highly-praised KindieComm SongShare session – run by Devin L. Walker and Ann Torralba – will return that Friday, April 3 in the host hotel … this time KindieComm will cover catering so their be some lite bite options to keep you energized! The SongShare was easily one of the highlights of our last gathering in 2018.

Finally, we’ve heard the cries and this time ’round, you no longer have to wander the streets of Philadelphia late Saturday searching for karaoke as an ‘after party’! We’ll be presenting KindieComm Karaoke immediately following the KindieComm Industry Showcase. A perfect way to unwind and bond with other Kindie friends, old and new and celebrate the wrap of another KindieComm gathering!

On top of all these interactive ways to perform – we also have a full day of programming planned for Saturday April 4 … complete details will be coming out later this month – along with a KindieComm group rate link to our host hotel – Sheraton Philadelphia University City – they’ve been great and have kept the room rate the same since we first started KindieComm ($159)

Besides here on our website, we’ll be sharing updates in the very popular KindieComm group on Facebook – plus I’ll be tweeting out the news @KindieComm – and sharing update headlines via our @KindieComm page on Instagram … be sure to follow us everywhere …
