For those arriving to Philadelphia Friday March 20 – be sure to join us for the KindieComm Happy Hour in the Upstairs Live venue at World Cafe Live from 4-7pm! Learn how to properly say Yuengling – America’s oldest operating brewery (located right outside Philly) while enjoying $2 Yuengling bottles (light/black & tan) and $3 lager drafts. Plus there are other bar specials 4-6pm as well as $5 apps and $3 fries (we highly recommend the eggplant fries!).
Afterward, there are several places to dine Friday night, all within a few block radius. One that we recommend is The Fat Ham – steered by the winner of Bravo TV’s “Top Chef: Season 7” Kevin Spraga.
After winning Top Chef, Kevin returned home and opened the award-winning Spraga Restaurant in Center City Philadelphia. Soon after, he opened The Fat Ham here in University City section of Philly, embracing Southern cooking. Just this summer, Kevin opened his third restaurant – Juniper Commons – celebrating the positive elements of 80s cuisine along with a yummy oyster bar.
The Fat Ham is right down the block from World Cafe Live — one of several wonderful restaurants in our neighborhood.
